Jazz For a Healthier Generation

In partnership with leading health institutions, presents music programs to encourage good health and well-being for young people and adults. Current partners include the Children’s National Medical Center (CNMC) and Smith Farm for the Healing Arts.
Music programs at CNMC help patients, families and staff transcend the hospital experience. In addition, several programs are geared toward children with special needs including those with autism, dyslexia, dyspraxia and other learning disorders. Concerts at the Smith Farm Healing Arts Gallery – a DC-based health, education and creative arts organization serving communities affected by cancer and other serious illnesses – promote the Arts as a tool for healing. Jazz for a Healthier Generation promotes a healthier lifestyle, wellness and rehabilitation while also educating young people and adults about jazz.
