Jazz For a Healthier Generation

In partnership with leading health and healthy eating institutions, Jazz for a Healthier Generation initiative aims to encourage good health and well-being for young people and adults. Current partners include the Children’s National Medical Center (CNMC), DC Farm to Schools Network, Whole Foods, Arcadia, and Smith Farm for the Healing Arts.
Music programs at CNMC help patients, families and staff transcend the hospital experience. Concerts at the Smith Farm Healing Arts Gallery – a DC-based health, education and creative arts organization serving communities affected by cancer and other serious illnesses – promote the Arts as a tool for healing. Partnershps with Whole Foods, DC Farm to School Network and Arcadia help promote healthy eating good nutrition.
Jazz for a Healthier Generation promotes a healthier lifestyle, wellness and rehabilitation while also exposing young people and adults to jazz.
