Jazz for DC Kids

In partnership with leading institutions in the District of Columbia, presents free student concerts, workshops, master classes and other programs with the District of Columbia Public Schools (DCPS) and DC public charter school students and teachers. 2010 activities include:

Free Student concerts and master classes that served more than 5,000 young people, in partnership with DCPS and the DC Arts and Humanities Education Collaborative;

Jazzin' at Sitar, a jazz improvisation/history after-school course at Sitar Arts Center

Martin Luther King Jr., Day student performances, in partnership with DCPS;

Participation in the DCPS New Teacher Orientation;

An Arts Integration workshop with DCPS Parent Resource Centers;

Music Programming with the DCPS and charter schools.
