Dante' Pope

Dante’ Pope is a multi-genre drummer and vocalist. As a native of Chicago, Illinois, he blends his gospel roots with a soulful swing that has been showcased all around the world. Most recently, Dante’ toured with Dom Flemons, founder and former member of the Grammy Award winning, Carolina Chocolate Also Drops. Dante' is dedicated to the growth of young musicians. He served as the principal music teacher at Two Rivers Public Charter School, in Washington, D.C. for grades Pre-K through 8th.

Beat Fairy

A sunny little singer found herself performing in one African band after another: The Griot Street Band with Grammy-nominated Griot from Mali Cheick Hamala Diabate, The BuBu Gang with Sierra Leonean musical revolutionary Janka Nabay, and The Bele Bele Rhythm Collective with a powerful troupe of women led by Kristen Arant. The rhythms were infectious. The music took her back to the ground, the earth; her feet felt alive. She began to hear all music through the lens of these percussive sounds.

Stacey Kent

Stacey Kent is a jazz singer in the mould of the greats, with a legion of fans worldwide, a host of honors and awards including a Grammy nomination, album sales approaching 2 million, Gold, Double-Gold and Platinum-sellingalbums that have reached a series of No. 1 chart positions during the span of her career.  Raised and schooled on the east coast of the USA, this comparative literature graduate with a musical bent, travelled to Europe to further her studies.

Tessa Souter

Downbeat Critics Poll ‘Rising Star’ two years in a row, London-born, Harlem-based Anglo-Trinidadian jazz vocalist-composer Tessa Souter imbues a mix of jazz, stunning originals, and the occasional rock classic – U2, Cream and the Beatles – with the soul and passion of flamenco, Indian and Middle Eastern music. “She is a very special talent. She really moves me,” says NEA Jazz Master, Sheila Jordan.

Mike Wade

During his career he has been named one of the top ten unsigned jazz, brass players as rated by Jazziz Magazine (1997). His composition, “Blues for Shorty Bop”, was chosen for inclusion on Jazziz on Disc collection.
