Volunteer Opportunities
There are various volunteer opportunities available with the Duke Ellington Jazz Festival. They include everything from serving as a team member with our information booths, street teams, promotional teams, vendor setup, staff catering, dressing room maintenance, office assistant, etc. Volunteers play a key role in our success and we are grateful to the many volunteers who have supported our efforts throughout the years.

Requirements

Volunteers will be asked to work two shifts, each between four (4) to six (6) hours. Shift times and hours will vary from person to person. We may contact in advance or may have volunteer opportunities available on short notice anytime. Volunteers will be needed from May 11 - 22, 2009, but we may contact volunteers for pre-festival events.

  1. Volunteers should arrive on time and encouraged to arrive a few minutes early to meet the coordinator and assignment.
  2. Volunteer positions are fulfilled on a first come, first serve basis.
  3. Volunteers must be at least 18 years of age.
  4. Attend a colunteers orientation one month prior to the festival
