About the event

DC Jazz Festival Education presents: “PIANO AS A SECONDARY INSTRUMENT” master class, open to students ages 9-18. Jazzin' AfterSchool teaches jazz history and instrumental instruction in fun and engaging ways. Led by jazz pianist and master clinician Janelle Gill, this DCJF master class is open to all instrumentalists and vocalists. Janelle Gill, a native Washingtonian, attended the famed Duke Ellington School of the Arts and Howard University. Janelle has performed with Oliver Lake, Delfeayo Marsalis, and David Murray to name a few. Duration: 60 minutes. Free. Registration Required.
