How your gift helps

The DC Jazz Festival®, a nonprofit service organization, presents free and affordably price concerts and education programming during the DC JazzFest and throughout the year. Help us continue this tradition by supporting us now!

Every dollar counts. No gift is too small.

  • Your gift of $50 enables us to purchase jazz-inspired storybooks for our Pre-K DC Jazz Bops! program

  • Your gift of $350 enables five DCPS students to attend a master class with a renowned musician

  • Your gift of $1,000 enables 20 DCPS students to attend a master class conducted by a renowned jazz musician

  • Your gift of $2,500 enables 200 students to attend a professional jazz performance

  • Your gift of $5,000 enables DC Jazz Festival to connect the community with major artists through the free Jazz 'n Families Fun Days program.

  • Your gift of $10,000 supports our math and reading initiative, DC Jazz Bops! Early childhood education program.

Circle of Friends

The DC Jazz Festival (DCJF) brings our community together in the celebration of all things jazz in DC. DCJF relies on the generosity of our Circle of Friends to keep our commitment to music education in public and charter schools going strong year-round.

Wish List: $350 pays for a master class with a renowned jazz musician for 5 students

Matching Gift Program

As a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, the DC Jazz Festival® is eligible for many employers' Matching Gifts programs. And, if you have given already this year, the good news is that you may still be eligible. Just contact your Human Resources Department to see whether a gift can be matched. If so, obtain a matching gift form from your Human Resources Department and return it to the DC Jazz Festival, along with your contribution or a copy of your contribution.

Corporate Support

Celebrating the DC Jazz Festival®, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, has provided enriching and entertaining jazz performances and music education programs in celebration of all things jazz. The DC JazzFest, held September 2 - 4, presents the jazz genre’s most acclaimed as well as emerging artists and presents some of the finest musicians from the DMV. Throughout the year, DCJF nourishes the community with music education programs that extend our reach into underserved communities and enhance the quality of life for DC students, teachers, and their families.

DCJF offers sponsors a variety of ways to engage our audiences. All packages are customizable to create an individualized package that meets your goals. We currently annual and multi-year sponsors to support:

Volunteer

Thank you, Volunteers!  You make what we do possible.  Each year over 100 community volunteers lend their time and skills to help us put on the largest jazz celebration in DC. There are many volunteer opportunities available and the many ways you could continue to roll up your sleeves to support our efforts. We need volunteers for brochure distribution, social media, street team marketing,  information tables, survey distribution, and other onsite event efforts. If you are interested in volunteering for the DC JazzFest, complete the volunteer entry form below, and we will contact you about how you can support. The DC JazzFest takes place in September 2 - 4.  We typically start recruiting volunteers 2-3 months prior to the event.
