LEARN MORE

Pianist Emmet Cohen, DC Jazz Festival’s 2026 Artist-in-Residence, has built his career by embracing the rich tradition of jazz while collaborating with the masters who helped shape it.

For this special Generations Series performance, Cohen is joined by legendary bassist Buster Williams and acclaimed drummer Joe Farnsworth, with special guest vibraphonist Warren Wolf, and the youngest in this Generations Series: 19-year-old Danielle Angrand. With five extraordinary artists representing four generations of jazz excellence, come experience an evening of masterful interplay, deep swing, and musical conversation, followed by a post-concert discussion moderated by Sunny Sumter. This Generations Series performance celebrates their profound artistic bond and the power of mentorship, bringing together hard-swinging jazz, masterful interplay, and the joy of intergenerational artistry.

Join us for an unforgettable evening of swing, soul, and musical connection.
