Ayo—an artist whose music transcends the hearts and minds of her audiences—is a singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist based in Washington, D.C. who began her journey as a jazz vocalist at Howard University. She was also a featured composer for the Kennedy Center’s residency .Betty Carter’s Jazz Ahead
